About

The History

The Moore House is a historic home converted into an inn and nestled in the hills and hollows just outside Marlinton, WV. The area is rich in Civil War history and natrual beauty.

The home was built by John Moore in 1900. This charming retreat was painstakingly restored in 1991 by his great, great nephew, along with the relocation and reclamation of hand-hewn log cabins of the Pre-Civil War era. Operated as the Jerico Bed & Breakfast & Lodge, the property has hosted countless guests over the past 30 years.

A New Chapter

2024 ushered in new innkeepers, Rob and Caley. It is with a deep appreciation for the history and legacy of the home that the name Moore House was chosen. While the name has changed, providing unrivaled hospitality continues to be the utmost goal.
